Ahh. The travel wish list. As you gradually immerse yourself into travel, you’ll find it’s an addiction that feeds itself. Touching down after your first trip, you’ll realize you’ve brought home a something in addition to the souvenirs. You’ve come back with lists upon lists – cities to see, beauty minis to buy, and gear to get.

I’m no different. My phone is chock full of lists and notes of travel goodies to someday explore. Now, I hope my lists can inspire yours. At the end of every month, I round up six of my latest travel obsessions and bring them to you here in my Monthly Travel Wish List.

The rules are simple. Each month you'll find:

One clothing item I’d look bomb af in.

One piece of travel gear I’d include in my lineup

One TSA-approved beauty item I’d add to my 3-1-1 bag.

One experience I’m keen to cross off the bucket list

One hotel I dream of checking in to.

One city I’m eager to explore.

Eddie Bauer | x Karla Collaboration

The Clothing

EDDIE BAUER X KARLA COLLABORATION | $18 - 200 USD

The devil may work hard, but Facebook targeted ads work harder. And they got me. They got me good. The Eddie Bauer collaboration with designer Karla Welch instantly drew me in. The collection is 12 pieces, ranges from XS – 3X, and is an ode to the 1980s. While my eye is on the Mock-Neck Sweatshirt and the Knit Sweatpants, there’s so much to love here. There’s even face masks in there… because there’s no reason your drip shouldn’t be COVID-19 compliant.

The Gear

BOOE 6L WATERPROOF DAYPACK | $120 USD

While I hate on the targeted ads in one breath, I praise them in the next. This month’s choice for gear was also brought to me by the almighty algorithm. It’s a completely waterproof 6L daypack that’s perfect for throwing in the kayak, packing for a day at the the beach, or toting down to the pool. Please note I said waterPROOF. With it’s watertight welded seams , Tru-Zip technology, and  TPU-coated fabric, this thing is submersible up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. Uh, hello peace of mind!

Supergoop | Jet Set SPF Travel Kit

The Beauty

SUPERGOOP! JET SET SPF TRAVEL KIT | $28

With a natural skin tone like this, you just know that I know a thing or two about sunscreen. I’ve been through the ineffective (lobster face), the terrible (Casper face), and the WTF (grease face). But a few have prevailed. Supergoop! has been one brand that repeatedly impresses me with not only their formulas for the basics, but also their more innovative offerings. I’m a huge fan of their Unseen Sunscreen. It’s SPF 40 and goes on beautifully with no white cast. This Jet Set SPF Travel Kit brings you the staples in TSA-Approved mini sizes. Perfect for tossing in your 3-1-1!

The Adventure

PRIVATE NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR | $360

To me, the best part about travel is slowing down, immersing yourself in the moment, and going home with amazing memories – and maybe a few gorgeous photos to boot. This Private Guided Night Photography tour seems to encapsulate it all. Led by Timothy Little, you can see a unique side of Cape Cod without the crowds. You’ll explore the National Seashore as you learn how to photograph iconic landmarks either by moonlight or starlight. The whole thing lasts about 5 hours and includes transportation. You’ll head home with a matted print from one of that nights locations and a new skill you can  use on future trips.

The Breakers | Palm Beach Florida

The Stay

THE BREAKERS PALM BEACH | PALM BEACH, FL USA

Much like its predecessor, 2021 seems to be doing me dirty. A visit to the ER, the passing of a beloved friend, the most epic ice storm to hit the South in years – it’s all too much. While I usually shy away from resorts, mama (Its me. I’m Mama.) wants nothing more than to be pampered. Just the sheer thought of retreating somewhere warm where I can be indulged and cared for at every turn has me positively giddy. And when you want to do it right, you go to the always iconic  Breakers Palm Beach. Hold me a chair at The Surf Break and whip me up a Citron Frozen Lemonade. Mama’s coming.

The City

MONTREAL, QUEBEC | CANADA

Because Montreal is the fourth largest French-speaking city and one of Canada’s oldest, it’s often touted as a little slice of international French wonder without the transatlantic flight. But don’t sell it short, Montreal is more than that. From sampling poutine on St. Paul Street to exploring the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, from browsing at Jean-Talon Market to strolling around the Montreal Space for Life, there’s plenty of ways to make some Montreal memories all of your own. As for me? You had me at poutine.
